MadCats – Zombie Escape Rules

Run for your life, defend the escape routes, and work as a team to reach the evacuation zone!

1. No Blocking or Door-Griefing

Intentionally blocking teammates on escape routes, closing doors in their faces, or activating elevators and gates before the team has caught up is strictly prohibited.

2. Teamplay While Defending

Survivors must work together at designated hold points (hold lines/chokepoints) and keep the zombies at a distance using knockback. Intentionally running off alone and leaving the team behind to die (“soloing”) is discouraged.

3. Fair Use of Items and Special Weapons

Special items such as healing, ammunition, and barricades are intended to help the entire team succeed. Anyone who picks up an item must use it responsibly and for the benefit of the team. Deliberately trolling with items or wasting them unnecessarily will result in sanctions.

4. Zombies Must Stop the Escape

Zombies are not allowed to camp, hide, or deliberately stay behind. They must actively pursue the survivors and attempt to break through their escape routes.

5. No Intentional Infection (Trimming)

Intentionally falling behind and allowing yourself to be infected by the zombie horde in order to attack your unsuspecting former teammates from behind as a newly infected zombie is prohibited.

6. No Glitches or Unauthorized Shortcuts

Exploiting map glitches to take unintended shortcuts or access areas outside the designated playable zones is prohibited. This also includes exploiting faulty textures that give zombies an unfair advantage.

7. No Racist or Discriminatory Content

Racist, hateful, or discriminatory content is strictly prohibited. This applies to nicknames, sprays, profile pictures, and all text and voice chat communications.

8. No Chat or Voice Spam

Excessive spamming in text or voice chat is prohibited. Since communication during boss fights and defensive phases is essential, instructions from the round leader must remain clear and audible.

9. No Insults or Toxic Behavior

The following behavior is prohibited:

Insults and personal attacks

Threats and deliberate provocation

Political discussions that disrupt gameplay

Sexism and discrimination of any kind

10. No Cheating, Bhop Scripts, or Bug Abuse

The use of unauthorized external programs, unfair bunnyhop scripts, or the deliberate exploitation of bugs in Zombie Escape is prohibited. Serious violations may result in an immediate permanent server ban.

11. Text and Voice Chat Languages

Communication in text and voice chat is permitted in English or German only.

12. No Advertising for Other Servers or Communities

Any advertising for other servers, clans, communities, or websites is prohibited. This also includes sharing external server IP addresses and advertising links.

13. No Ban Evasion Through Multiple Accounts

Using additional accounts to evade an existing ban is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in a permanent ban from all MadCats servers.

14. AFK Rule

Players who remain AFK (away from keyboard) for an extended period must not endanger their team or block important zombie spawn points. AFK players must immediately switch to Spectator mode or leave the server if they will be absent for a longer period.

15. No Unjustified Votes or Misuse of !calladmin

Vote kicks, vote bans, vote mutes, and the !calladmin function may only be used to report or address genuine rule violations. Unjustified reports and deliberate abuse of these functions will be penalized.

16. No Fake Clan Tags or Impersonating Admins

Using fake MadCats clan tags, deliberately copying other players' names, or falsely claiming to be an administrator is strictly prohibited.

⚠️ Penalties for Rule Violations

The server administration reserves the right to impose appropriate sanctions for violations of these rules. Penalties range from warnings and in-game punishments such as slays, kicks, or mutes to a permanent server ban.
